Sandra Patargo, a university student at Iberoamericana University in Mexico City, helped organize a protest on May 11 that ended up becoming a focal point of the country's 2012 election campaign. The protests against then presidential candidate Enrique Peña Nieto (he ended up winning) and the media's coverage of the elections were recorded on smartphones and uploaded to the internet.
