Ashley Jiang (she/they) is a documentary filmmaker from Shanghai, China. Her work focuses on the intersection of gender, sexuality and race. She’s the founder of OutChina (www.ChinaLGBT.org), a media advocacy NGO that spotlights and humanizes China's LGBTQ community. Her videos have gained millions of views globally.

After graduating from University of Southern California, Ashley brought her international perspective to The Advocate, America's longest-running LGBTQ publication. She has later worked at Reuters, Voice of America and PBS in Los Angeles and New York. She has also produced videos for Red Bull’s Global Dance Network in Austria.

A seasoned journalist with more than 17 years of experience, Euna Lee is a Special Assistant, Video for VOA’s director’s office. Lee loves developing stories behind headlines that are happening around the world. Her goal is to help VOA to produce more compelling, narrative visual storytelling projects for those who seek information from VOA.
