Alexandra Roca is a hands-on, award winning documentary filmmaker and journalist whose focus is to cover underreported issues and bring them to the mainstream media. Experienced in guerrilla filmmaking, she’s covered stories in over 14 countries and has interviewed a wide range of people. From inmates and ex-gang members to politicians and indigenous people. She was awarded by One World Media for her solo reporting on Women’s Rights in Morocco. Her experience includes working as an on-camera correspondent and host for National Geographic both for digital and broadcast. She’s also hosted, directed and produced content for United Nations, the Olympic Games, Discovery Channel, Tribeca Film Festival in addition to collaborating with multiple production companies, both in the US and abroad. ** Fluent in English, Spanish, proficient in French.
