There were rumors of criminal activity happening every Sunday afternoon in the nearby Soetwater parking lot. It was said that the participants were gangsters from the neighboring suburb of Ocean View, one of the most gang-ridden areas of the Western Cape, South Africa. "Spinderella" tells the story of what is really happening on the other side of the hill.
A short film documenting the daily ritual of the "Sunrise Swimmers", a group of pensioners who, in a age-defying act, spend the first light of every morning in the ocean - come shark, rain or shine.
