Andrea Verdelli (b. 1985) is a photojournalist, cameraman and video editor from Italy, based in Beijing, China. He mainly shoots news, documentary, and portraits. His personal work often focuses on social issues, political issues and youth in the Far East and in Greater China especially. He has several years of experience working with international news agencies, newspapers, as well as broadcasters, providing photo and video content. His work has been published in leading publications around the world, among which Bloomberg News, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, South China Morning Post, The Washington Post, Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, Dagens Nyheter, etc. He has also experience working with NGOs and corporate clients. He is managing partner of The China Desk news agency. He was awarded a Masters in Multimedia and Visual Journalism from the University of Bolton (UK) at Beijing Foreign Studies University (China) in 2017. He received a Masters in Management Engineering and Finance at Politecnico di Milano (Italy) in 2009. He speaks Italian, English and Mandarin Chinese .
