My name is Hedayatullah Noori, a reporter, cameraman, video editor, and technician. I was forced to leave Afghanistan with my wife and four teenager children because I had worked as a technician, cameraman and reporter for 13 years for Voice of America in Kabul. I have resettled in Silver Spring, Maryland. I am authorized to work in the United States. I am very interested in finding a job that will allow me to use my skills here in the U.S. and to support my family. As you can see from my resume, I studied electrical engineering and computer science in Afghanistan, but due to my interest in the press, I started working in the media in 2003 for an Afghan newspaper, Hewad, and then for Afghan National Radio and Television as a reporter and cameraman. In 2008, I began working for Voice of America and did so in several capacities. In addition to working as a reporter and camera operator, I also have experience in video editing. You can see samples of my work at the links below. For each of them, I prepared the script, shot the videos, and did post-production editing myself. I am very flexible and eager to learn. I am a hard worker and I would very much appreciate an opportunity to speak with you about potential employment.
