Request QuoteI am currently working as a TV factual writer/director and my recent work includes, 2 series of 'Scéalta Grá na hÉireann' (Ireland's Greatest Loves) (2023, 2021), a 2x 6 part documentary series for TG4, ‘Biseach Ón Ailse’ (A Cure for Cancer) (2023) for TG4, the Wilbur and Radharc Award winning 'The Cork Nativity' (2020), a Christmas Special for RTÉ 1 (Ireland's national broadcaster) and he directed 'Battle of the Christmas Lights' (2021) for Virgin Media One. As a Writer/Director and Cameraman I have worked on films across the globe, from New York to Luxembourg, Denmark to the UK and all over Ireland. I graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology with a B.Sc. In Communications: Film & Broadcasting. I was Head of Operations for Future TV Media Centre in Dublin, after which I moved to Luxembourg and worked in the film studios of Carousel Pictures and Deluxe Productions. My debut feature film 'Tree Keeper' premiered at the 56th Cork Film Festival and has screened around the world. I co-wrote and directed the award winning short 'The Brutal Truth' and my short documentary 'Jackie Oh!!!' featuring Urban Artist Fin DAC won the Consulate of Ireland award at the Chicago Irish Film Festival in March 2015. My short horror film, ‘The Sign’ was shortlisted for competition in Spike Lee’s Babelgum Online Film Festival 2009. My short film ‘Penny’ won the Prize for ‘Best Drama’ at the Fastnet Short Film Festival in 2009 and screened on RTÉ as part of its Short Screen series. My debut feature documentary, 'Why is there anything instead of nothing' (2017), portrays the life and work of Irish/American artist Tighe O'Donoghue/Ross. The film is a visual tour de force that explores such themes as art, philosophy, ancestry and family. Starline Entertainment are handling worldwide distribution. I also shoot and direct the Fastnet Film Festival Greenroom Interviews. Past interviewees include Steve Coogan, Stephen Frears, Joan Bergin, Lenny Abrahamson, Pat Shortt, David Puttnam, Jim Sheridan and John Madden to name but a few.

While I was the Writer/Director on this film I also shot the majority of the film, from external locations and landscapes to the majority of interview set-ups. I also photographed the art works in as high resolution stills that were then manipulated by a VFX artist.
I produced, directed, edited and shot this short promo for John Dooley PGA and Concierge Golf Ireland.
