I am a video journalist and documentary filmmaker with 13 years of experience. I have reported news and feature stories from over a dozen countries and directed both journalistic and creative documentaries mainly from the global south (India, Nepal, Brazil, Tansania, Bolivia). Most of my work has been broadcast on YLE, Finland's public broadcaster. Some of my documentaries have been distributed by companies such as Java Films and Journeyman Pictures. I have also produced campaign videos for several NGOs and organisations. In 2014 and 2016 I worked as YLE's Brazil correspondent doing everything from reporting, shooting, editing as well as radio and online stories. I am originally from Finland and currently live between Germany and Sweden. I speak English, German, Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese and Finnish fluently. I also master decent Italian, French and basics in Hindi and Turkish.
