She covered politics, education, immigration, and health. During her time in Austin, many of her stories were showcased in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and national platforms. Liliana was also assigned to news Correspondent for Texas regional newscast "Primera Edición" & "Conexión Texas" based in Houston. In Austin, Liliana led special investigative reports and stories by partnering with Austin’s American Statesman newspaper on a report about the deaths of homeless people in Austin. Liliana earned an Emmy and their digital partnership earned national recognition by the Online Journalism Awards in 2016.
