Meet Carolina Eyck, a virtuoso of theremin
How do you play an instrument without actually touching it? Well, Carolina Eyck, who is considered one of the world's top theremin players, says that the notes are in the space. And what does that even mean? Eyck has been playing the electronic instrument since she was 7. It looks like a simple black metal box with a couple of protruding antennae, however, as the only instrument in the world controlled entirely without physical contact, it takes a special kind of virtuosity to play it. It requires imagination and precise finger articulation. CGTN's Pablo Gutierrez checks out how this unique tool has shaped Eyck's musical path.
