Remembering the 75th Anniversary of Kohima and Imphal - British MoD and FCO

Produced for the UK's Ministry of Defence and Foreign Office and shot in India's North-East. It commemorated two extraordinary battles that changed the course of WWII in the East and ultimately led to the defeat of the Japanese. The actuality was shot on location with a gimbal to give the piece dignity and gravitas. Sound effects livened up the archive stills. I shot, wrote, edited and voiced.

Webcomic activist: Rachita Taneja - The Obama Foundation

I have shot a number of films for the Obama Foundation, highlighting the work of social activists. For this piece I used an FS7 and GH4 (for the slo-mo shots). All the films are unmediated first person narrative profiles covered with fun visuals.

The Water Mother - BBC Innovators

I was DoP and cameraman for the BBC Innovators series in India. We aimed for exciting visual story-telling, unmediated by a reporter/presenter. The pieces highlighted novel innovations in India's social sector: initiatives with a profound social impact in areas, such as, water scarcity, outside defecation, girls' education. The digital media we produced received hits in the millions.

Killing for Conservation - BBC, Our World

Our World, BBC News - Producer. Killing for Conservation revealed the heavy price in blood paid by indigenous communities for India’s militarised conservation policy. We found evidence of kidnap, torture, maiming and killings by the Forest Department in Assam. The doc - presented by BBC Chief Environment Correspondent, Justin Rowlatt - was short-listed for an Asian TV Award for Best Documentary.
