The 12th storytelling piece in a series of audio recordings, blogs and videos that focused on local businesses and artists in Denver's RiNo Art District, this video quickly racked up the highest engagement on social media. By hiring a drone videographer to supplement shots and pacing the story, we were able to capture both the history and current vibe of a popular watering hole.
LiveWork Denver specializes in cobuying real estate and community housing, and when they were hired to sell a unit in a cohousing community, they realized that not every condo buyer understood what cohousing was. They hired Doghead Creative to interview the residents and capture the emotions and connections of a weekly community dinner. Both the client and the community loved the final piece.
Each September, scores of artists take to the alleys, streets and walls of RiNo to paint and install art. In 2019, the selections committee hired more women artists than ever before, so this video (one of seven daily recaps) focused on their installations in progress and allowing them to share the stories and emotions behind their art. It was by far the most popular video in the series!
Each year, for their annual meeting, RiNo Art District commissions a video to celebrate the people and businesses that make it a vibrant place to live, work and visit. After a divisive political year, the client wanted to hit an upbeat, playful tone. Our team commissioned an original track from Old Man Saxon (feat. on Netflix's "Rhythm and Flow") and organized more than 15 shoots with circus performers, spin classes, youth advocacy groups, motorcycle mechanics, architects and more to feature the many groups who make RiNo what it is.
Every two years, Biennial of the Americas puts on an exciting celebration, but if you blink, you could have to wait two years to see it again! In 2019, they hired Doghead Creative to create daily recap videos to highlight key festival components. This video series, shared on social media and newsletters first thing in the morning, inspired guests to attend the event in the day ahead.
