My work explores and celebrates Ghana’s culture and history, blending visual storytelling with sound design to elevate traditions, community narratives, and oral histories. Over the past nine years, I have honed my skills as a film editor and director, working across diverse projects in arts, culture, fashion, and the auto industry. Through my films, I aim to provoke reflection on the relevance of Ghana’s cultural heritage, connecting its past to its future while inspiring action and accountability. In addition to my work as a filmmaker, I co-founded the African Photography Collective, an initiative created to provide accessible platforms for African creatives. Rita Mawuena Benissan is an artist and historian whose practice delves into the royal umbrella which is transformed from an object into a subject for dialogues within the preservation and honouring of Ghanaian Heritage. During her first solo show at Gallery 1957 she exhibited an array of works ranging from royal umbrellas to tapestries stools and totems.
This collection was a result of a collaborative effort between a fashion designer (Ajabeng) and an artist (Okuntakinte) exploring the coinciding points between the two art forms and delivering an experience that celebrates their essence.

Ghana's living lab is an afforestation exercise being undertaken by Astrazeneca in efforts to contribute to the Global Goals of Climate Change. This exercise is in progress at Atebubu in Ghana featuring local farmers being taught modern ways to include tree planting in their farming exercise so as to replenish the earth and yielding a better environment.
