I worked with photojournalist Jorge Dan Lopez to show a 'day in the life' of Nancy Velasco, a woman mariachi working in the centre of Mexico City. I sourced the subject, arranged the journey from Ms Velasco's home in Ecatepec to Mexico City's famous Plaza Garibaldi, and wrote the accompanying text. The article was syndicated in VICE Mexico and El Excelsior.
