Request QuoteLiz Scherffius is a trilingual freelance journalist and a Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting fellow. She specializes in documentary film and investigative data journalism. As a video journalist for the BBC, she covered immigration, civil liberties, and women's issues. Originally from southwestern Montana, Liz pursued Latin American Studies as an undergraduate at Pitzer College, and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Upon graduation, she began her journalism career in Argentina and Ecuador. As a Master’s candidate at the Columbia School of Journalism, she made a 30-minute documentary film about refugee resettlement in New York City. The film, A Table for All, was a 2018 Official Selection of the NYC Independent Film Festival. Liz completed her Master's degree in December 2017 and she is based in Washington, D.C and Tucson, AZ.
