Olga's recent documentary film, "When People Die They Sing Songs," was broadcast on NHK (Japan), theatrically released in Russia (Documentary Film Center in Moscow), participated in festivals around the world including DOC NYC (New York) and Message to Man (St.-Petersburg). It was nominated for Student Oscar in 2014 and won CINE Golden Eagle Award. The film was featured in The New York Times in 2015. Olga's editing work has been shown at Tribeca Film Festival and Lincoln Center. Olga teaches film classes in Columbia University and Hunter College in New York. Olga Lvoff received an MFA in Social Documentary from the School of Visual Arts in 2013.
This video tells a story of three foster children and two mentors who became one big family. The Connections for Success project is intended to promote permanent connections with caring adults for older youth who are leaving foster care or institutional care. The video was developed with support from Eurasia Foundation.
LIGHT ON THE WATER tells the story of four people with disabilities from the U.S. and Russia, who participate in the exchange program between the two countries. This video is produced as part of the Disability Partnership Planform within the framework of the US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange - a program implemented by Eurasia Foundation.
The film is produced at the request of the International Paralympic Committee and is dedicated to the XI Paralympic Winter Games in 2014. Each of the film’s heroes – athletes from Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, Russia, and USA — represents one of six Paralympic sports. Olga Lvoff was a producer of the episode shot in Texas, USA, featuring Rico Roman, star of American sledge hockey.
