Independent multi-media journalist and writer specialized in covering conflicts throughout MENA region. Between Cairo and Istanbul. I develop my journalistic career in Press, TV and radio contributing to mainstream and alternative media like Al Jazeera (AJ+), France 24, CNN, Foreign Policy, El País, DW, RFI, RCN Noticias, SER, VOA, A3, Cuatro, La Sexta, M'Sur...). I've worked as a staff member at the Spanish newspaper EL PAÍS where I participated in several investigative coverages. I'm the editor for M’Sur online magazine on political Mediterranean issues, coordinating a team of 20 correspondents in over 10 countries. I'm the co-author, with the photographer Miguel Ángel Sánchez, of El Alma del Mundo, (Lunwerg, 2012). This photographic and literary work has been exhibited in Cairo, Paris, Brussels, Dubai, Madrid... I am also a lecturer and speaker for different institutions specialized in Egypt, Arab, and gender issues.
