I'm Ignacio Marín, a Spanish photo/video journalist and the Director of Feral Stories (feralstories.com), a social documentary production house. My team and I accompanied a team from Doctors of the World to the Canary Islands in Spain to film a short documentary about the health of the migrant people that arrive to our shores. We provided the project with a unique visual brand and narrative and disseminated the main insights of the report in the form of short documentaries adapted to its consumption on social media. We also created a website where the public can find out all the details of how the reception system in Europe is affecting the health of migrants.

As a result of the pandemic, the NGO Doctors of the World had begun to work in residences for the elderly and from its Communication Department they had one objective: to record a short documentary to tell why our elders have taken the worst part in all phases of this health crisis. My team and I traveled to Valladolid and we were filming for 2 days in one of the residences where Doctors of the World works. We recorded more than 8 hours of interviews between residents, workers and staff of the NGO that we later edited into a piece to distribute in the media and social networks.
