A former commissioning editor at Saqi Books I was also executive editor of Alef, a London-based culture, lifestyle and fashion magazine about the Middle East. I've reported for Beirut’s Daily Star from London and Paris since 2001. Random House published my translation of Lamia Ziadé’s Bye Bye Babylon in 2011, I've written several books on Paris published by Dorling Kindersley and Flammarion.
