Crisis at US-Mexico Border
Out of the many migration stories I reported on, the ones in March of 2021 stand out most. Illegal crossings on the US-Mexico border had skyrocketed, and my team and I wanted to capture first-hand migrants’ personal stories. We traveled to Roma, Texas and once on the ground, planned to rely on local residents, journalists, and a little luck to find what we were looking for: the location where human traffickers, via cartels, had set up operations.
