I am a documentary filmmaker, NYC born, with family ties to Ukraine. I work as a freelance shooter and editor for different clients. In 2004 I made an award winning feature length documentary on the Orange Revolution in Ukraine called "The Orange Chronicles". You can see it in the URL below. More recently I created and produce a web series on the New York City rock and roll scene called NYC ROCKS TV. It's a behind the scenes look at the characters and personalities active in the contemporary scene. We are currently in our second season, which you can see at www.NYCROCKS.TV Currently there is a major uprising in Ukraine. What started out as demonstrations in support of Ukraine's President signing a trade agreement with the EU looks like it will be a serious attempt to overthrow the current Ukrainian government. The opposition has called for a nationwide strike and resignation of the current regime. As during the Orange Revolution, demonstrators have set up a camp and fortified Independence Square as well as blocked government buildings. President Yanukovych has not blinked and does not look likely to negotiate. I am looking to go back now to film current events.
