After a mass eviction of about 19,000 people, Chicoco emerged to partly trained people how to speak up. This project looks at how young people from slum communities in Nigeria's Port Harcourt city are using art (cinema, music and radio) to fight forced evictions.
This work covers how doctors are leading the charge to compel government to take measures towards ending the downpour of dangerous carbon particles due to illegal and legal oil refining in Nigeria's Port Harcourt city. The particles have caused a 50% increase in respiratory infection among under five children. while chronic conditions like cancer are feared.
This project shows how the hopes of Nigerians for a restructured economy formed their voting opinions before the February 23 presidential elections.
