In the two months Wuhan has been under lockdown, volunteers risked their lives every day to drive healthcare workers from home to the hospitals. One 20-year-old man says the experience changed his life.
The Nanshan District in Wenzhou, China, is known for its centuries-old tradition of making suo noodles by hand. Stretched into fine threads and measuring 11 feet in length, these noodles take close to 15 hours to produce. We visited third-generation noodle maker Fazhu Lin’s workshop to see his process unfold.
Cen Xiaolin can jump rope over 200 times in just 30 seconds. He’s broken several records in the sport, earning him the nickname “world’s strongest thigh.” We spent a day with the jump rope champion and met the coach who discovered him.
