Over the last 10 years, filmmaker Arpita Sinha’s work has taken her to the furthest corners of 24 states and 5 Union Territories of India, capturing interviews, filming small mercies amid big socio-political crisis and big changes in tiny off-the-map-villages's and the big Indian cities' deep under-belly alike- gathering stories that reinstate our faith in the human ability to surpass the most overwhelming of odds. Trained in Journalism at the Lady Shri Ram college for Women and in Documentary Filmmaking from the University of London (Royal Holloway), Arpita's work has afforded her the privilege of engaging with leading change-makers (big and small, celebrated and invisible) and inspiring individuals on issues as diverse as Public Policy and Citizenship, Sustainable development, Gender, Minority Rights and Social Justice, Secularism , Education, Health, Science and Technology, Environment and Architectural Conservation. She is currently based in Sydney, Australia.
