She began her career in New York, working on documentaries for The History Channel, Bravo, The Weather Channel, and PBS. She spent four years as a producer on the award-winning series CNN Heroes. In 2010, Leslie moved to Amsterdam and launched Askew Pictures, producing the short film Sisters for Somalia for Al Jazeera. Since relocating to Australia five years ago, she has created content for ITN in the UK, as well as lifestyle, travel, commercial, and branded projects for TV and online platforms. Her latest film, Pignorant, is an investigative documentary on the global pork industry and is now streaming on Amazon Prime.

Of the 40+ stories I produced for CNN Heroes, Dr. Andy Moore was one of my favourites. He was born into a family of physicians and taught that health care was not a privilege, but a right for all. Dr. Moore founded an organisation where volunteer health care professionals provide care to uninsured individuals.
