Eric also has a degree in Visual Communication from Hawaii Pacific University. Eric served for twelve years in the United States Navy as a Photojournalist and Mass Communications Specialist serving in over 35 countries. His primary service was in Asia and the Middle East and has experience working with various news agencies to include CNN, MSNBC, The Associated Press, and Reuters. During his twelve years of service Eric has learned that wearing a number of hats, has given him an intricate understanding of how mass media and corporate public affairs work. Eric has experience with photography (both film and digital), directing, producing, editing, lighting, and audio. Hired by S.O.A.R. (Save Our Avian Resources) this PSA was made to air during the fall and winter months while hunting is increased throughout the midwest to educate and encourage hunters to use lead-free ammunition that causes grave effects to American Bald Eagles in the midwest. I was Director, Producer, Camera, and Post Production.
This project was shot over years of auctions and had a small documentary that was made called Auction Insider: The John Zimmer Collection. The documentary won awards throughout the region and was selected to film festivals as well. Fuzz Dawg Inc. saw an opportunity to pitch the stories captured at these auctions and present them to various networks. I was Director, Producer, and Cameraman.
