For 2,5 years I worked as a TV producer and cameraman for RTL News in the Middle East (I was based in Tel Aviv and Istanbul) From 2012-2015 I was based in Erbil, Iraq. Where I worked for the Associated Press videosection. Also I've worked as a cameraman for international media like PBS Newshour, CBC News and Rudaw Media Network. I've worked as a videographer for multiple NGO's. The main topics I focused on are the Islamic State, religious and ethnic minorities and refugee/IDP issues in the Middle East.

Two elderly Christian women remained behind in the village of Telskuf, original population 4,000, following the ISIS blitz of Northern Iraq last summer. They lived under ISIS rule until the city was recaptured by Kurdish Peshmerga forces, but Telskuf still sits too close to ISIS frontlines for most people to feel safe coming back.
