Request QuoteI am an Italian independent filmmaker based in Italy. I come from an academic/journalistic background: I researched in History, Politics and Social Studies during my university years in Rome and London and reported from the Middle East and Africa. The first time I approached filmmaking was just a couple of years ago and it was a revelation. I understood that what I was really looking for were peoples personal stories mirroring the macro events I researched and witnessed during my academic years and working experience. Since then, I built a team of professionals with the same targets and interests and with whom I am currently collaborating. At the moment, I am working on a documentary about the global market of khat, a natural amphetamine cultivated in the Horn of Africa. But with the recent dramatic political changes in the Mediterranean area, I am looking forward to focus on my country, engaging with little-known and underreported stories of migration, environment and human rights.

A video report about the only permanent nuclear waste repository in the world, Onkalo. Dug 450 metres deep in the Finnish bedrock, Onkalo will preserve its deadly contents for at least 100.000 years, when radiation will fall to harmless levels. When completed, in 2100s, it will contain all the nuclear waste produced by Finland.
Merqana explores the social universe of khat, cutting through an only apparently ordinary day in the plant's commodity chain. The film unfolds the ways this little-known plant has become extremely popular among the people of Harar, Ethiopia, becoming the main source of income for poor farmers and wealthy businessmen.
Italeñas combines the stories of Melina and Domenica. Melina is a 19 years old girl born in Italy, to whom citizenship was denied because she spent less than a year in Ecuador (her parents’ country of origin) when she was four. Melina and her father Omero contacted Domenica, a Peruvian journalist who has been living in Italy for the last 22 years and who deals with the issues of immigration.
