Radio Broadcasts

These two recordings are of two radio broadcasts that I have had the opportunity to host. The first one is "Santé+", a weekly show about health issues, with the intervention of a doctor, and the second one called "19ème" is about the history of 19th century Britain. These experiences as a host have been rewarding, as I have been able to take charge of the production, from editing to airing. The choice of topics and tone of the broadcasts were given to me so I was able to have fun while doing my job and enjoying my passion.

Les violences conjugales

I wrote this paper on domestic violence as part of a radio programme called "Zmigri" in which I participated as a columnist, on women and sexism. My main objective was to raise awareness about the condition of people who are victims of these reprehensible acts and to alert to their situation. It was necessary to highlight the mechanisms that are in implemented to subjugate these women and keep them under control. They are in no way responsible for this violence, they have no control over it and the figures and statistics bear witness to this veritable epidemic. This paper is therefore very important for the message it conveys and for highlighting a more than urgent problem.

Quartier de Combat, les enfants du 19e

Zak Haroussi and Abdoulaye Sissoko, authors of the book Quartier de Combat. Accompanied by Pauline Guena, they deliver through a crude and honest pen, the poignant testimony of a youth in the working class neighbourhoods of the north of Paris. In this interview, the two men talk about their first encounter, their adolescence, and their vision of the place they grew up in. The past, the present and the future are intertwined in their narrative and despite everything, the authors refuse pessimism and bitterness and prefer to leave to the youth a message of hope.

At Baluchon

As part of our partnership with the Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (OCOG), the Com'Au Quartier team met with Alla, supervisor of the Baluchon catering company. Alla is 37 years old and lives in Bagnolet. She started at Baluchon 5 years ago as a multi-skilled worker and today she supervises a group of employees in the company. She is in charge of organising and preparing the orders with her colleagues. More than 700 orders/day! "You have to be willing and love what you do" is the advice Alla wants to pass on to young people and to all those who are looking for an opportunity. Baluchon is a small company where you feel like a family, in the kitchen and in the offices. You can feel their desire to help people move forward in life through work and training In addition, Baluchon favours the use of local products and organises deliveries for solidarity events. A true social and solidarity economy approach. Portraits d’Aubervilliers (a town in the suburbs of Paris) is a format where the life story of an inhabitant of the Aubervilliers neighbourhoods involved in the territory, is told. In this report, the spotlight is put on Güven, a young video artist and actor who lives in Pont Blanc and works at the Aubervilliers town hall. Here is his story!

This report highlights the profession of track layer. In partnership with the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis and the CREPI, we decided to produce a video to promote this job of the future. Why a job with a future? With all the construction sites of the Grand Paris (200 km of additional lines), this profession is expanding rapidly. And for those who want to move around and "see the country", there are also many other construction sites in France such as the Lyon-Turin line in the Rhône Alpes region. A short training course is offered and supervised by AFOR TP, a training centre located in Montreuil (93). It lasts 3 months, i.e. 240 hours: 140 hours at the centre and 70 hours in the company. It is open to anyone who can read, write and above all understand French well. A career as a track layer can last a lifetime. You don't need a diploma to go very high. You have to want to work and learn and also : to know how to respect the safety instructions to be willing to work at night sometimes
