Mohammad Al-Kassim is Middle East correspondent, with more than a decade reporting on the region. Currently based in Jerusalem, Mohammad has reported from around the Middle East. He has reported from Mosul, Iraq where he spent several days inside the city as Iraqi troops battled to liberate it from the Islamic State organization. He has reported extensively on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as well as the Syrian refugee crisis and war. Mohammad has spent time in Turkey reporting on numerous events from the Istanbul airport bombing to the Turkish constitutional referendum. He reported on the devastating earthquake of 2010 in Haiti, the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and presidential elections in Kazakhstan.
