Since earning my Master's in Documentary Filmmaking in 2011, I’ve created diverse video content for social media and websites, with expertise in end-to-end production, project management, DAM systems and working with agencies. I’ve filmed in Indonesia, Madagascar, Peru, Kenya, and Mozambique, with drone operating skills and have a flexible, adaptable approach that suits small charities, agenices and large organizations. Confident in using camera, sound, and lighting equipment, I’ve also worked on TV sets, capturing behind-the-scenes content. I also work as an editor for short docs and social content. In addition, I run Carys Captures, a photography business specialising in personal branding portraits. Ecologi's CEO & Co-founder Elliot Coad, Head of Impact, Sam Jackson, and Impact Partnerships Manager, Katie Pownall, embarked on a long-awaited trip to the Mau region of Kenya to visit their tree planting partner, Eden Reforestation Projects. This short documentary looks at the incredible work being done by communities on the ground to restore the region.

In 2024, some of the Ecologi team embarked on a trip to Peru to visit their reforestation partners, Global Forest Generation, and their restoration initiative - Acción Andina. The initiative is being delivered across the Andes by local partners to conserve and restore native Polylepis forests. Constantino Aucca Chutas and Florent Kaiser, the co-leads of Acción Andina, explain the importance of working closely with local communities to ensure the success of restoration projects.
