Request a demoI am a young, Norwegian journalist and photojournalist with experience working in Iraq, West Bank and Ukraine. My post stories has been in Norwegian, but I can both talk and write longer stories/articles in English. I am looking to expand my experiences and I'm both happy to and quick in picking up new assignments, such as reporting.
I spent a month in Iraq, where I spoke with a Iraqi man and women who both identifies as queer. Anonymously, they told about their experiences and family reactions to their sexual orientations, containing both verbal and physical abuse. At the same time, big protests were held in Baghdad against LGBTQ with burning of the community's flag, showing once more the threat queer people in Iraq live under.
Young combat medics, previously students until the war, talk about their lives before the war. Now, their lives are all changed, and they talk about adapting, coping and training so they will have a life after the war.
Multiple parents tell their stories about their boys, that got killed by IDF soldiers in July/August 2023. Present at one of the funerals, the father of Nada(24) whom got shot hours earlier raises his hands "Here is the Israelis" then lowers his hands, "beneath them is animals, dogs, and here are we" while laying is hands in his lap.
