Isaí Madriz is out in the field, embarking on dangerous expeditions to the harsh, remote Patagonian Ice Fields in search of undiscovered insect species. These insects have been hiding out from us for over 200 million years—and, being tiny, they are pretty hard to find. That said, Dr. Madriz is thrilled to have confirmed one new insect species, and he has more than 40 others under review.
