Born and raised in Ohio and a 2016 photojournalism alum of Ohio University, Erica has been published in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, NPR, Business Insider, Nashville Lifestyles Magazine, as well as other notable publications and gallery exhibitions. Previously, Erica worked as the Content Producer for global non-profit, Soles4Souls. Before that, as a visual journalist for the USA Today network, as well as an assistant editor and colorist for Emmy-winning Evolve Studios. When not behind her camera or editing suite, Erica can be found exploring new trails with her dogs, practicing yoga or trying some new complicated recipe in the kitchen.
Commissioned by the Associated Press to shoot portraits of Najah Aqeel for their client, Scholastic. Aqeel has changed national rules in favor of student athletes being able to wear religious headwear.
