I am a Rwandan documentary photographer that specializes in humanitarian and development visual storytelling as well as emergency response storytelling. My photography demonstrates the bravery and tenacity of the people I get the opportunity to photograph. I think that people's lives can change when they realize their strength. My art strives to ethically demonstrate respect and decency for my subjects first. Apple, Wired, Gavi the Vaccine Alliance, Women for Women, ELMA Philanthropies, World Resource Institute, and many more are just a few of the companies and organizations with whom I have collaborated. I've done work in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Ghana, Kenya, Burundi, and South Sudan.

Transforming Landscapes in the Greater Rusizi Basin and Great Rift Valley
The Bezos Earth Fund supports Africa's locally-led restoration movement, AFR100, which is working to bring 100 million hectares of degraded land into restoration by 2030. Specifically, this project aims to accelerate restoration in the Rusizi Basin, part of the broader Congo Basin ecosystem known as "the lungs of the world," and in the Great Rift Valley, home to critically important forests and a breadbasket for the region.

Shea Butter has come as a gold mine to the women of Tamale and northern Ghana in general. Lives are being transformed by this indigenous nuts that for a long time were left to waste. The women of Tamale, out of their curiosity and innovation introduced to the world shea butter, even though it had existed for a very long time but not for any economic use.
