Ed Dwight: From First Black Astronaut to World Renown Artists
Ed Dwight was an accomplished pilot in the US Air Force when Pres. JFK asked him to join NASA and become the 1st Black Astronaut. But JFK was assassinated and Dwight's plans were put on hold by LBJ. Dwight followed another passion and is now a world renown sculpture. His art portrays Black Jazz artists, ex: Miles Davis, historical figures, ex: Rosa Parks, and political leaders, ex: Pres. Obama.
