Stepping Into Power is a short documentary film about a movement building fellowship created for the non-profit organization, Forward Together. We all know that the status quo is not working for our communities. As power becomes more centralized and farther away from the grassroots, we are faced with the stark reality that no leader or organization alone can make the changes we seek.
Gloria Berry is a Bayview resident who ran as a candidate for the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee in March 2020. This campaign video was designed to feel more like a micro documentary about the pivotal moments of her life that led to her interest in local politics.
