Request QuoteFlorian Kunert is a German filmmaker and multi media story teller. He trained six young locals to become video journalists within their community in Khayelitsha Township, South Africa in 2010. Together with the trainees he filmed more than 10 short documentaries and directed the documentary video installation 'Shack Theatre'. At Cuba’s International Film School EICTV he attended workshops from globally-acclaimed cinematographers and directors and obtained a degree in Documentary Film. In 2013 he founded his own production company Highway Spirits producing short documentaries with social workers in the U.S. and Germany and writing for the documentary magazine thehumangeographic.com. Since 2014 Florian is based in Cologne where he attends a postgraduate course at the globally acclaimed Academy of Media Arts Cologne. His new documentary 'A letter of the last sea nomad' filmed in Indonesia is currently in post production.
