Tom Bentey is a Jersey boy made good. Tom grew up in Edison, New Jersey and spent his summers at the Jersey Shore. He studied English at Rutgers, and acted in several student films and plays. Tom’s new found passion for acting changed his path in life, as he went on to act in many Off-Broadway plays and independent films. After three years of being in front of the camera, Tom developed an interest in directing and began to write his own screenplays.Tom enrolled in the Masters of Arts program in Media Studies at The New School in New York City, to hone his newfound interest in the art and craft of filmmaking. It is at the New School, where Tom wrote, directed and starred in his first feature length film “At The Jersey Shore“. His directorial debut went on to screen at national film festivals and received international Cable VOD, iTunes, Amazon.com distribution in 2012.
