Ukhupacha - Golden Hell (El País)

UKHUPACHA- Golden Hell is a reportage that shows the current social conflict created by informal gold mining in the Madre de Dios area in Peru. The Peruvian Government is trying to erradicate by force mining in the area so that oil company Hunt Oil can exploit its natural resources. Said land was sold in the “Lote 76” that also includes nature reserve Amarakaeri with eight native communities.
