Jeanny understood what we wanted, and got all of the shots we requested, as well as a strong interview. We’d be happy to use her again.

Request QuoteI've worked as a freelancer for the french-german TV channel ARTE, CBS and the BBC. Recently I've completed my first independent documentary. POWER is a short doc on violence against women in India, it has won awards at international film festivals. Before working as a freelancer I trained at City University for broadcast journalism. I've published stories in FocusOnline, Naked Punch Magazine, Deutsche Welle and I was an online editor for the Magazine Digital-Life-Design. Most of all I love working independently, being on a shoot and producing stories. Having worked in India and Pakistan several times between 2010 and 2014, I'm aware of what it takes to research and produce stories in adverse places. My love for traveling brought me to journalism and I still see it as part of the attraction. It allows me to understand the world by experiencing it and making complex stories accessible to a wider audience. I'm also program coordinator at the Dart Centre for Journalism and Trauma.

A film about women and girls in India who are learning to fight back. Debi Steven, martial arts champion and self defense teacher from London, teaches self defense in India. THe film follows her and investigates what's changed since the Delhi gang rape in 2012. POWER premiered in January 2015 in LA and has been awarded with Best Short Doc at the Artemis Film Festival and Platinum Award in Jakarta.
(August 2015) My footage and interview in Halberstadt, Germany. A town where 1,900 refugees are staying in a camp, waiting for their claims to asylum to be registered. The army was putting up tents because the authorities are overwhelmed by the rising numbers of refugees from Syria, the Balkans and Africa. Angelika Klatt, the lady I interviewed, is one of the mindful people who are trying to help.
This is a small selection of interviews I did with Syrians who are in Berlin.
