About
I am an award-winning journalist with 15+ years of experience in the media industry, many of which as a video and audio journalist, documentary filmmaker and executive producer at the Wall Street Journal.
My expertise in the publishing sector spans production and executive production of videos and podcasts, series and product development, strategy, text editing and SEO data analysis, people management, complex/sensitive editorial decision-making, broadcasting, operations management, digital newsroom workflows, social media and reporting. As a journalist, I have been based or worked in more than 20 countries, primarily producing and shepherding multi-format coverage: written, audio, video, data visualization, interactive and social media.
In recent years, I have led the Wall Street Journal's effort to build out its international video and audio operations in Europe and Asia, creating and developing storytelling in a variety of formats for the WSJ website, as well as for partner-platforms including Twitter, Google and YouTube. Prior to moving to London in 2019, I was the Head of Video for APAC, based in Hong Kong. Back then, while managing a small team, I also reported and produced features and explainers on a wide range of topics in the region, with a focus on business, finance and geopolitics.
Our accolades over the years at WSJ include include three Gerald Loeb Awards, SOPA Awards for excellence in explanatory reporting and investigative reporting, Human Rights Press Awards, and being selected as Pulitzer finalists for our multimedia coverage of the 1MDB scandal. Our documentary about the creation of a WSJCoin cryptocurrency was a Webby Honoree.
Before starting with the Journal in 2014, I had spent several years working in Italy, the South Pacific and France, where I was a TV reporter and documentary filmmaker with Canal Plus Group for five years, delivering projects including prime-time hourlong documentaries and exclusive video features. Other publishing credits include Le Monde, France 2, Agence France Presse, France24 and Arté TV.
