Guillermo has spent the 15 years making documentaries for a wide portfolio of clients including Discovery Channel, Channel 4, BBC, National Geographic and others. In the diverse roles as Director of Photography, Director and producer, Guillermo has brought key issues in the region to the screen such as immigration, elections, AIDS, terrorism, environmental damage, threats to indigenous people, drugs, war and other important issues told through human stories.
Guillermo’s intricate experience and knowledge of Latin America is reflected in his work from the region. He is always telling the most important stories from the ground, living the stories in order to tell them. His experience also led him to work in the Middle East and Africa.
His has won a number of awards including an Emmy for best investigation for Discovery Latin America. Last year the documentary that he filmed Lost Tribe: First contact won a Royal Television Society Awards in London.
