My work has taken me to Ugandan slums and hospitals to shoot stories about AIDS and malaria, to Kentucky for an investigative piece about a deadly uranium processing plant, and to New York to interview Taliban representatives in the year before the 9/11 attacks. I have covered police shootings and terrorism trials, art exhibits at the Met, Guggenheim and MoMA, film, music festivals, books, theater, health and medical stories, immigration, marriage equality and transgender rights, high-speed trading, and foreign ownership of high-end New York real estate, among many other subjects.

I shot, researched and reported the controversy and demonstrations over a new gas pipeline coming into New York, narrated and video edited the piece on Final Cut, using file news footage, and wrote a longer newspaper-style article to accompany the video on the web page.

For this feature about a pianist-composer, I shot his trio's rehearsal for their upcoming Carnegie Hall debut, and interviewed him. I wove in his footage of other performances (& of the debut), & file news footage, narrated & edited the piece (on Final Cut 7) & wrote a newspaper-feature-style text to accompany the video.

I initiated this feature idea about the Brooklyn Free School as one of several hundred such "democratic" schools around the world, set it up, shot it for about four hours over a couple of days, edited it on Final Cut and wrote the accompanying print-style article for web publication.
I shot this band at the Clearwater Music Festival (an intern manned the wide-shot stationary camera), video-edited on Final Cut 7, and wrote an accompanying newspaper-style feature text for web publication. Like my other stories, it was also broadcast in English & other languages over VOA satellite TV.
