My name is Adrien Ponsard. I'm a French journalist, filmmaker. I film, I pilot drones, I edit, I write and voice. I can put together stories by myself. For four years, I've lived in Washington DC, travelling all over North America while working for TF1 (the main french TV channel) news shows. I have covered hurricanes and wildfires, elections, shootings... but also had the opportunity to portray society in diverse features, as well as capturing the extreme beauty of places like Yellowstone or Quebec region. I have now relocated to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where I continue to work for TF1 French TV and others as a freelancer covering the whole East-Africa region and further, depending on interests from publications. I'm now diversifying my work, getting back to photography, writing, and photojournalism, and focusing on wildlife filmmaking.

Malawi : sur le passage du cyclone Freddy (VOA)
Le cyclone Freddy est le plus long qui ait jamais été enregistré, plus de 36 jours. Il a traversé l'océan indien avant de frapper Madagascar, le Mozambique et surtout le Malawi, où le bilan est estimé à plus de 1.200 morts. À certains endroits, il est tombé en deux jours seulement l'équivalent d’une saison des pluies. Cela a provoqué des coulées de boue et de rochers dévastatrices. Beaucoup y ont tout perdu et sont toujours en besoin d'être relogés. Situation sur place, quelques mois plus tard.
