Currently working as a freelance reporter and videomaker/photographer, I can also create content for social media, engage communities and source information in what is called 'crowdsourced journalism'. I started my journalism experience as a graduate of the MA in International Journalism at London's City University and since then I have lived between Italy, the UK and Spain working on both journalistic and communication projects. Passionate about international news, environment and sustainable development, social issues and humanitarian topics, I also love sports and outdoor. My experience in video production and documentaries have mostly been gained through an internship at Euronews in Lyon (France) initially, and then the work with Elandra Productions with whom I produce travel documentaries for the Italian public TV Rai. With regards to written works, I have spent two months in New York with IPS News covering stories from the United Nations and then moved to Italy to work for the Universal Exposition Milan Expo 2015, the online publication Lifegate.it and the Swiss newspaper La Regione Ticino. Before approaching journalism I worked in sport events and film production, both complex and fast paced international environments where I acquired strong organisational and stakeholders' management skills, as well as good data and database management. I still work in events, mainly within comms departments.

European SUP (stand up paddle) lands in Italy
Gazzetta.it / I wrote a piece on the stand up paddle championship in Italy (in Italian) and also filmed this little video to give a taste of the sort of event and atmosphere. The byline is Gian Luca Pasini, who is the curator of the blog, but I did the whole thing, video and copy.
