Request a demoI am a documentary filmmaker and photographer with a keen interest in showcasing the work of grassroots organizations making a difference in the lives of the underprivileged or rural Indians. My skill in filmmaking lies in communicating the human aspect of a story in a sincere and authentic way. Good storytelling has the power to touch our deepest emotions. I believe that a film that appeals to our deepest emotions, nudges the viewer to invest their heart and mind into the story. I have always been curious about the extraordinary stories of common people. I feel there is a powerful story to tell about every human. In the last nine years working as a documentary filmmaker, I got the chance to travel the length and breadth of India and have a conversation with thousands of common folk, villagers and city dwellers. Filmmaking/storytelling is a heartfelt and emotional experience for me. I believe in familiarizing myself with the subject and bringing out the human aspect of each potential story, along with making the subject feel comfortable within a filming environment. This helps me to capture candid and honest interviews of people and weave a sincere and authentic story around the person or the community.

A substantial population in Kashmir is dependent on the handicraft sector. The artisans spend most of their day weaving a single piece of carpet or a shawl and in most cases, the work on a single piece lasts for more than a month. The intricate carpets take more than 6 months for a single piece. The film captures the struggles of the artisans of Kashmir to keep their art heritage alive.
