Another small launch sank in the Buriganga River near Shyambazar in Dhaka. Mayur-2 from Chandpur was spinning in back gear. At that time, the MV collided with the Morning Bird in the river. Meanwhile, thousands of people gathered at the wharf after the accident. Relatives of the Morning Bird were seen calling for the missing passengers. A fire service official who took part in the rescue operation said, "We have learned that the small launch sank due to the impact of the Mayur-2 launch." Meanwhile, the police official said that both the launches were negligent. Besides, BIWTA authorities were active in the rescue operation all day. On the other hand, the relatives of the deceased are looking for their relatives. According to the information received so far, 32 bodies have been recovered.
