David Wardell is an award winning documentary filmmaker and photographer. He is currently working with Save the Children covering their work globally and during emergenciesHe is also the Australian correspondent for the Netherlands based VPRO television program, Metropolis. In the past he has worked as a freelance Field Producer with the Network 10 news and comedy program, The Project, and has extensive experience working in participatory media facilitation and workshop design having worked with big hArt on the Ngapartji Ngapartji Project, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image Digital Storytelling Program and the Wakikirri initiative, creating content with remote indigenous communities in the Northern Territory and Western Australia His video work has been broadcast on BBC, Network 10 Australia, VPRO Netherlands, National Geographic Channel, ABC Australia, Rocketboom.com and Link TV. His photography has been published in National Geographic, BBC online and WHO Magazine.
