Yokai - Stand With Us
Over 2,000 generations have lived in Australia with their diverse languages, cultures, and complex societies, but everything changed in 1788 with the arrival of the tall ships. Because the British invasion disregarded the land's original inhabitants and custodians, the following seven to eight generations were traumatised, leading to the social and emotional problems we see today. Whole generations of children were kidnapped, families were torn apart, and generations of families had their homes destroyed. Aproximately 100 000 aboriginal children, particularly those of mixed race, were forcibly removed from their parents between 1910 and the 1970s. Abuse and unpaid work were prevalent, resulting in disproportionately high levels of social disadvantage.
